Saúde Mental em Estudantes de Medicina - Fatores de Risco e Prevenção
Abstract
The mental health of medical students is a relevant topic, as academic pressure can compromise their well-being. Medical education affects both physical and emotional health due to the workload, sleep deprivation, and constant stress. Additionally, sleep quality and social support are essential for maintaining psychological balance, with variations in influence observed between genders and different educational curricula. Factors such as social isolation, lack of time for leisure, and uncertainties about future professional prospects can exacerbate the situation. This study reviews the risk factors associated with mental health disorders in medical students and explores preventive strategies to promote the well-being of these future professionals.
