Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of legal protections regarding domestic violence against men in Brazil. To achieve this, the specific objectives focus on investigating Brazilian legislation concerning the legal protection of male victims of domestic violence, identifying its limitations and potential for improvement. Additionally, it will analyze the actions of judicial and police authorities in providing legal protection for domestic violence against men, taking into account the specificities of this type of violence and the possible barriers to accessing justice. Finally, the study will assess the effectiveness of existing protection mechanisms for male victims of abuse, such as emergency protective measures and free legal assistance, determining whether these measures are sufficient to ensure protection and compensation for the victims.
