Abstract

ABSTRACT: The transitions in care in the perioperative environment are comprehensive and should be considered high risk, as they include doubts and management, especially regarding cardiac surgery. The general objective of this study was to identify the main factors that influence the welcoming care of the nursing team during the cardiac postoperative period. To this end, the research approach used was an integrative literature review, within the databases of Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences, Portal Scielo and Medline, published between 2012 and 2022. As a result, six studies were included. It concludes that the nurse's welcoming role during the transition from preoperative to postoperative care is to advocate and identify the patient's needs factors that may be affected by the surgical experience, in addition to offering the teaching that the patient will have in mind. throughout the perioperative care trajectory.
